‘Soul Dreams‘ is the second leak by Devine Carama off his upcoming Nas tribute project, appropriately named It Was Rewritten. I see what you did there Devine Carama, and I approve — well done chum. Obviously this is Carama’s version of the classic Street Dreams, reworked by producer 2 Mello.
“The feel of the original, Street Dreams, sounded like a gangster movie score. I wanted my version to sound like a hip hop movie score. Something that could have fit in the film Brown Sugar. If Nas was a gangsta in “Street Dreams” I wanted to sound like a prophet in “Soul Dreams”. – Devine Carama
